A story about how Wally Amos, a Black man from the segregated South built a wildly successful cookie company in the 1970s, against all odds, and then spent the rest of his life chasing the fame, money, and glory he enjoyed, and sadly lost, at the expense of those closest to him. Throughout the series, his daughter, Sarah Amos, traces the good, the bad, and the hilarious stories that make up her family’s legacy.
